Registering once, for good
Exness registration is a one-time event: one record, one set of credentials
Almost every question about adding a machine, a platform or a trading account is the same question underneath: does any of it call for registering again? It does not. The address and password submitted on the official exness.com create a single record, and everything afterwards — verification, trading accounts, platforms, terminals — is opened from inside that record rather than beside it. This page is about the difference between adding something to an account and accidentally creating a second one.
The whole idea in one paragraph
One sign-up, one login, and no occasion to repeat it
Registration is short: an email address and a password on the official exness.com, a brief questionnaire, and the Personal Area exists. What that produces is a container rather than a product — the dashboard where trading accounts are opened, deposits and withdrawals handled, and platform downloads listed. Identity verification runs inside it afterwards as its own step.
The record is the account
Everything that later carries the word “account” hangs off this entry. A trading account is a line inside it; a platform is software pointed at it; a device is a visitor. None is a registration.
Two credentials, and that is the set
The address and password chosen at sign-up open the Personal Area from anywhere. Trading accounts get their own number, password and server name, issued inside — never by filling the registration form again.
Verification belongs to the record
The identity check is done once, against the record, inside the Personal Area — not per platform and not per machine. Its status is shown in the same place.
False alarms
Four things regularly mistaken for a second sign-up
Each produces a screen asking for details, and each is routinely read as an invitation to register afresh. None of them is.
| What it actually is | What it asks for | Registration needed? | |
|---|---|---|---|
| A terminal installed on another machine | The same software, freshly installed and therefore empty | The trading account number, trading password and server name already issued | No — nothing new is created |
| Another trading account under the same login | An additional line opened inside the existing Personal Area | A platform choice and a trading password, set at that moment | No — it is opened from within |
| A second platform added | A different program reading the same record | An account opened for that platform, since each account belongs to one | No — the record is unchanged |
| A browser never used before | An unfamiliar visitor to the Personal Area | The registration email and password, possibly a one-time code sent to that address | No — it is a sign-in, not a sign-up |

The last column is the useful part: a screen asking for details is asking to be recognised, not introduced. What each platform expects sits on the login guide; what a trading account is chosen between, on account types.
The one outcome worth avoiding
What a duplicate login would actually cost
Registering a second time with a different email address does not fail, and that is precisely why it is worth naming. It succeeds quietly, and what appears is not a copy of the first record but a stranger to it.
What a second record brings with it
- Its own identity check, from the beginning. Verification is attached to a record, not to a person, so the whole step is done again for the new one before it is of any use.
- Its own list of trading accounts. Accounts opened under the first entry are invisible from the second, and neither dashboard mentions the other — which is what makes the situation confusing rather than obvious.
- Its own balance. Funds sit where they were deposited, and a deposit made from the wrong dashboard has to be moved by the ordinary routes rather than by tidying up a mistake.
- Its own credentials. A second address and password, easy to mix up precisely because they were chosen for the same purpose on a different day.
- No neat merge afterwards. Two records are two records; questions about consolidating them belong to Exness support inside the Personal Area, and the outcome is never as tidy as not having created the second one.
The practical defence is unglamorous: before registering, try signing in with the address most likely to have been used, and take the recovery route if it is the password that has gone rather than the account. Recovery reopens the original record; a fresh sign-up quietly builds a rival to it.
Quick answers
One login, several devices — what people ask
Does a new computer or phone need its own Exness registration?
No. Registration happens once and produces one record. A new machine signs in to it with the credentials that already exist — the email address and password for the Personal Area, or the account number, trading password and server name for a terminal.
Is opening a second trading account the same as signing up again?
No. Additional trading accounts are opened inside the existing Personal Area, each under one platform, MT4 or MT5, with its own trading password set at that moment. The registration behind them is untouched.
What happens if someone registers twice by mistake?
Two independent records exist, each with its own verification, trading accounts and balance, and neither shows the other. Questions about consolidating them go to Exness support inside the Personal Area; avoiding the second one is far simpler.
The password has been forgotten — register again or recover it?
Recover it. The recovery route on the official exness.com reopens the original record with its verification and accounts intact. Registering afresh creates a separate entry that shares nothing with the first.
Can the same account be used on MT4 and MT5 at once?
The record can hold accounts for both, but a single trading account is opened under one platform and works only there. Adding the other means opening an account for it inside the same Personal Area. The routes board →
Does a demo account count as a separate registration?
No. A demo with virtual funds is opened inside the same Personal Area right after signing up and trades at the same market prices with no money at risk. How to open a demo →
